Although there are protective pads on the ends of all 4 legs of the chair, it might still be a good idea to use a mat under the chair on a wood floor. The brackets that attach the footboard to the frame are metal, and although flat on the bottom, could benefit from the use of a mat under them - particularly on a wood floor.
The product that is shipped is assembled in the majority, only a few simple steps are needed to finalize the product. The chair comes with easy-to-follow instruction with step-by-step directions and photos.
The Pilates PRO Chair Max™ is built with precision tolerances to provide a very quiet workout. Although uncommon, in the rare case that the product is making a squeaking sound during use, you can add a small amount of baby oil, olive oil, or similar lubricant to the bushings on the bottom frame.
Looking at the chair from the back, the bottom frame is identified as the bar that connects the left and right vertical frames of the chair. On either end of this bottom frame, there are black bushings along with two bushings in the middle (4 total). Apply a few drops of oil to each of these bushings to address any noise from the chair. Cycle the pedals a few times to work in the oil and the sound should be eliminated.
The chair uses a split-step pedal system, allowing you to work out your arms and legs separately or at the same time, according to your desired resistance. In order to switch from the individual pedals to combined you just need to turn the knob.
The Pilates PRO Chair™ machine is covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. Please note, normal wear and tear from regular use is not covered. This warranty covers all machine parts and accessories for six consecutive months from the date of purchase. Consult the printed Limited Manufacturing Warranty for full details.
